New Site Layout & Staff Members Needed

We have a new site layout here at The Medusa Cascade, featuring the Eleventh Doctor and Amy early/in time for the sixth series! I hope you like it!

The other reason for this post is that I am in desperate need of help with the site. I have lots of ideas and things to do for it, but not enough time to do much more than keep things up to date and even that’s difficult right now as well. If you would like to help and devote some of your time to the site, please visit the staff openings page. I have added a lot of new positions to try to make things as diverse as possible so hopefully there is something for everyone.

Smith’s acting ‘stunned uni mates’

Matt Smith made his pals “go cold” with his acting talents while at drama school, actress Becci Gemmell has revealed.

Becci, who’s returning to her role as Joyce in wartime drama Land Girls, revealed that she studied drama with the Doctor Who star at university and that he was always bound to be a star.

She said: “I haven’t seen him for a long time but we did plays together at uni. He was amazing. I remember him doing an audition speech for Ghosts – I ended up playing his mum – and he just made us go cold.

“It was like raw talent had walked in and the rest of us were all just fumbling about trying to work out what drama’s all about but he had it in spades, he just knew.”

She added: “I definitely thought ‘this guy is going to be famous’.”
